The invited talk titled “Electrical/Electronics Engineers Leading the AI and Data Revolution” was organized by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, SR University, with the objective of inspiring students to integrate strong engineering fundamentals with Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and continuous learning to build future-ready and innovation-driven careers. The session was delivered by Mr. Thadishetti Srikanth, Principal Data Engineer at ValueLabs, Hyderabad, and an alumnus of SR University (B.Tech EEE, 2008). With over 16 years of industry experience in Data Engineering, Cloud Architectures, Big Data systems, and AI-driven enterprise solutions, he shared valuable real-world industry insights with the students. The talk highlighted how Electrical and Electronics Engineering graduates can successfully transition into AI, Data Engineering, and Cloud-based careers. The speaker emphasized the importance of strong engineering fundamentals, continuous learning, adaptability, interdisciplinary innovation, and staying updated with emerging technologies.
